HyperCore and HyperEVM

HyperCore and HyperEVM are the two execution surfaces of the Hyperliquid chain. HyperCore is the exchange: perpetual futures, spot pairs and HIP-4 outcome markets trade on central limit order books the chain itself operates, and a position lives in an exchange account. HyperEVM is a general-purpose EVM on the same chain, chain ID 999, with standard Ethereum tooling and permissionless contract deployment, where assets are ERC-20 tokens in your own wallet and trading means swapping against a liquidity pool.

Why the distinction matters

"Trading on Hyperliquid" is ambiguous until you say which side. The custody differs (an exchange balance versus tokens in a wallet), the pricing differs (an order book versus pool reserves), and what can list differs (venue decisions versus anyone who deploys a token and seeds a pool). That last point is why new tokens appear on the EVM side first and why token launchpads on Hyperliquid are HyperEVM contracts rather than exchange listings.

HYPE and WHYPE

HYPE exists on both sides and gains a third form on HyperEVM, where it is the native gas asset. Pool contracts need an ERC-20 on both sides of a pair, so HyperEVM has WHYPE, canonical wrapped HYPE, worth exactly one HYPE and convertible one-to-one in both directions.

How BT365 uses it

BT365 is integrated against both surfaces: perps, spot and HIP-4 on HyperCore; token swaps and the launchpad on HyperEVM. Its HyperEVM swaps go through the platform's own helper contract, which accepts and returns native HYPE and wraps internally. The full comparison is What is HyperEVM, and how is it different from HyperCore?
