HIP-4 outcome markets

HIP-4 is Hyperliquid's standard for outcome markets, its prediction markets. Each outcome is listed as a market on the exchange's own order book, priced strictly between zero and one, and settled by the venue to zero or one at resolution. Buying does not mint anything on-chain; it opens a position in your exchange account, which the venue marks to its terminal value when the outcome is known.

Two sides, whole shares

Each outcome has two sides, shown as Yes and No. Shares are whole integers, and held shares appear in the account's spot balance rather than as tokens in a wallet.

How it differs from Polymarket

On Polymarket you hold a conditional token on Polygon, and collecting after resolution is an on-chain redemption that someone has to submit and that can fail and need retrying. On Hyperliquid you hold a position, and the venue settles it. The failure modes differ accordingly: Polymarket's is redemption, Hyperliquid's is delisting, since a venue can remove a market on its own schedule, which on-chain conditional tokens cannot do. The comparison, written from implementing against both, is How are prediction markets on Hyperliquid different from Polymarket?

How BT365 uses it

BT365 runs both venues. HIP-4 markets have a manual trading terminal and an automated fair-value trader template; what happens when a market is removed before it resolves is covered in When a market is delisted before it resolves.

BT365 is not available in every jurisdiction, and nothing on this page is investment advice. Trading prediction markets carries risk of loss.
